Shipping Integration

Shipment & Carriers
=======================

Create shipping labels and track shipments directly from your ERP system

Streamline Your Shipping
------------------------

The shipping integration creates labels straight from the order, for DHL, DPD, UPS and FedEx. Address, weight and dimensions come from the data already on the record, and the finished label is ready to print immediately.

From label creation to shipment tracking, you can monitor the complete shipping status without switching between different systems.

### Automatic Label Generation

Generate shipping labels for DHL, DPD, UPS and more directly from your orders. Address data is automatically populated, and parcel weight and dimensions can be specified. The finished labels are immediately ready for printing.

### Real-Time Shipment Tracking

Track the status of every shipment directly in Nuxbe. Tracking information is automatically fetched from the carrier and displayed in the order, keeping you and your customers always up to date.

### One order, several parcels

An order split across several parcels is handled in one pass. Each parcel gets its own label with its own tracking number, and all the numbers stay on the order, so a later question does not end up in a filing cabinet.

In practiceHow shipping runs in the warehouse
----------------------------------

### From order to label

The order carries a tab of its own for shipping. Pick carrier and product, confirm the weight, create the label. The tracking number stays on the order and is therefore visible to accounting and customer service too.

### The shipment that does not go out after all

A label created by mistake can be cancelled again with DHL, UPS and FedEx instead of lingering as an open shipment. With UPS a lost label can also be retrieved again without creating a second shipment.

### Where a parcel has got to

For UPS and FedEx, Nuxbe queries the shipment status at the carrier directly. For the others the tracking number and its link stay on the order, so customer service does not have to go hunting in someone else's portal.

SetupOne contract per carrier, one key pair per contract
---------------------------------------------------

Each carrier is enabled individually and needs the credentials from your own shipping contract. DHL wants the business customer account, billing number and participation number; UPS and FedEx a key pair with the account number; DPD the identifier from its shipping system.

Every carrier offers a sandbox that a single switch turns on. The first real shipment should wait until a label has come out of the sandbox successfully, because that is where carriers also check the format requirements.

Then the shipping methods are defined, meaning which product of which carrier is chosen in which case. From that point the warehouse makes no decision that is not already on the order.

### Requirements

- Your own shipping contract with each carrier used
- The credentials from that carrier's portal
- Complete recipient addresses including the country
- Weights and dimensions on the products or the order
- A label printer for the generated files

LimitsWhat each carrier can do
------------------------

The scope is not the same everywhere. DHL creates and cancels shipments and produces the end-of-day manifest. UPS creates, voids, tracks and retrieves a label again. FedEx creates, cancels and tracks. DPD creates only for now, with neither cancellation nor tracking.

The carriers connected today are DHL, DPD, UPS and FedEx. Another one is possible, but that is development work with an integration of its own rather than a setting in the interface.

Nuxbe negotiates no rates and does no billing. What a shipment costs is in your contract with the carrier, and the invoice still comes from there.
