Office 365 Mail
===============

Professional email delivery via the Microsoft Graph API with modern authentication

Email Delivery Reimagined
-------------------------

The Office 365 Mail integration replaces traditional SMTP delivery with the modern Microsoft Graph API. Emails are sent securely via OAuth 2.0 authentication, without needing to store passwords in the system.

The integration fits seamlessly into Laravel's mail system. Existing email features like invoice delivery, notifications, and correspondence work as usual, just through the secure Microsoft infrastructure.

### OAuth 2.0 Authentication

No more dealing with app passwords or SMTP credentials. The integration uses Microsoft's secure OAuth 2.0 standard. Tokens are automatically renewed, and you benefit from the security policies of your Microsoft 365 environment.

### Multi-Account Support

Connect multiple Microsoft 365 accounts and use different sender addresses for different purposes. Invoices go out from the accounting mailbox, support emails from the service mailbox, each with the appropriate signature.

### Seamless Laravel Integration

The integration works as a native Laravel mail driver. Existing code does not need to be modified. All Mailables, Notifications, and Queued Mails automatically use the Microsoft Graph API once the driver is configured.

In practiceWhen the switch is worth it
---------------------------

### Invoices going out of the ERP

Invoicing is the case where deliverability matters. When the mail leaves through your own Microsoft mailbox, sender, domain and signature checks line up, and the message lands in spam less often than it would from a foreign sending server.

### Several sender addresses

Accounting, service and sales each write from their own mailbox. Every mail account in Nuxbe can use this driver and bring its own sender address with it.

### No password in the system

Instead of a mailbox password, an application secret sits in the configuration, and it can be rotated in Microsoft Entra at any time without anyone changing a user password. Access tokens are fetched by the driver itself and renewed in the background.

 SetupRegister once, enter once
-------------------------

In Microsoft Entra you register an application, grant it the application permission to send mail, and have an administrator consent to that permission. Then you create a secret.

In Nuxbe the tenant ID, application ID, secret and sender address go into the mail configuration. The driver slots in as another mailer, and nothing else in the system notices the change.

Because the permission applies at application level, Microsoft recommends narrowing it with an access policy to the mailboxes that should actually send. That happens in Exchange, not in Nuxbe.

 ### Requirements

 - A registered application in Microsoft Entra
- The application permission to send mail, with admin consent
- Tenant ID, application ID and a valid secret
- A licensed mailbox as the sender

 LimitsWhere the driver stops
----------------------

The driver sends, and that is all. Reading mailboxes, reconciling folders or connecting calendars is not part of it; the full Office 365 integration covers that.

The permission granted applies across the application. Without an access policy in Exchange, the application is technically allowed to send from any mailbox in the organisation. If that is not what you want, narrow it, and do so deliberately.

Attachments travel inside the message itself, which under Microsoft's rules means a ceiling in the low megabytes. Images embedded in the body are not provided for; attachments stay attachments.
