Instead of switching between messenger apps and your ERP, exchange messages in real time without losing the context of your work. Whether it is a quick question about an order, a project team discussion, or a company-wide announcement, the chat is always at hand and keeps your communication where it belongs. ### Real-Time Messaging Messages are delivered and displayed instantly. Whether text messages, status updates, or quick questions, real-time communication ensures your team is always on the same page and decisions are made faster. ### Channels and Groups Organize your communication in topic-based channels and groups. Create rooms for individual projects, departments, or teams and keep conversations neatly separated so that relevant information does not get lost. ### File Sharing Share documents, images, and other files directly in the chat. Whether drafts for quick feedback or important documents for the team, file sharing is seamlessly integrated and eliminates the need for separate upload tools. In practiceWhat the chat is good for ------------------------- ### The quick question about an order Instead of typing out an order number, the order is mentioned in the message and stays in it as a link. Whoever reads the message later is one click from the record, without having to work out what it was about. ### Channels instead of distribution lists Besides direct messages there are private groups by invitation and open channels anyone can find and join. Each channel can be set individually to notify on everything, on mentions only, or on nothing at all. ### Reading back what was said Full text search runs across every message a person has access to. Important messages can be pinned in a channel, and posts can be quoted, forwarded, edited afterwards or withdrawn, with an edit staying marked as one. SetupWhat the chat needs from the server ----------------------------------- The chat lives on an open connection to the browser. A websocket service runs alongside for that, and it ships with Nuxbe anyway. Without it, messages would only arrive on the next page load. A running queue worker belongs to it as well. It fetches previews for shared links in the background, so a link appears in the thread with a title and an image rather than as a bare address. Beyond that there is nothing to configure. Users create their own channels, and permissions follow the roles already assigned in Nuxbe. ### Requirements - The websocket service that ships with Nuxbe - A running queue worker for link previews - The Nuxbe search index for full text search LimitsWhat the chat deliberately is not --------------------------------- Voice and video calls are not part of it. For a call there is the phone system, and for video conferences whatever tool the company already uses. Read receipts are deliberately not visible to others. The chat knows what you have read so it can mark what you have not, and it shows that to nobody else. Custom emoji and connections to outside services are not provided. Threaded replies exist in the data model but are not yet built into the interface. All packages included --------------------- All premium packages are included in the Nuxbe license.
