In Nuxbe the PIM database is the product management of the ERP itself. Master data, variants, properties, categories, images, prices, suppliers and stock belong to the same product that quotes, warehouse and online shop use. That removes the sync between a separate PIM and the inventory system. A change to the product applies to the next quote, and the Shopware package carries it into the online shop. FeaturesWhich product data Nuxbe manages -------------------------------- ### Master data - Product number, name and description, translatable into several languages - EAN and customs tariff number - Weight in grams and length, width and height in millimetres - Sales unit, purchase unit, base unit and reference unit - Flags for service, free shipping, highlight and export to the web shop - Minimum quantity, maximum quantity and delivery time - Tags for free grouping ### Variants, properties and categories - Option groups such as colour or size with their options - Variants generated automatically from the selected options - Properties as free text or a selection, grouped in property groups - Categories as a tree with any number of levels - Translations for categories and properties too ### Prices and suppliers - Sales prices per price list, net or gross - Price lists with a parent list, rounding and discounts per category - Several suppliers per product with purchase price, manufacturer product number and quantity per packaging unit - Purchase price and margin available on every order line ### Bundles, accessories and media - Bundles of several products that appear as sub lines on the order - Cross selling for matching accessories - Images and files on the product, with a cover image ### Stock and traceability - Stock postings per warehouse - Reserved stock - Serial numbers for products that must be tracked individually In practiceFrom a new product to the online shop ------------------------------------- A new product starts with a number, a name and a unit. Then you place it in categories, add properties such as material or performance and attach images. If it comes in several colours and sizes, you pick the matching options and let Nuxbe generate the variants instead of creating each one by hand. For purchasing you store the suppliers with their purchase prices and product numbers, for sales the prices per price list. Translations live on the same product, per language for name and description. The Shopware package transfers the product with categories, prices and VAT rates to the shop. When a price changes later, you change it once in Nuxbe, and the next sync puts it in the shop as well. Where the module stops ---------------------- Product management offers no free custom fields beyond properties and options. Anything else that should describe a product is created as a property. Shopware 6 is the shop with a ready made connection. Other shops and marketplaces need their own connection through the REST API. Frequently asked questions -------------------------- What is the difference between a PIM and an inventory system? A PIM keeps the descriptive data of a product, the inventory system its prices, stock and movements. In Nuxbe both are the same record, so there is no sync between two systems. How do I create variants? You create option groups such as colour and size, pick the options for a product and let Nuxbe generate the variants. Each variant is a product of its own. Is product data multilingual? Yes. A product's name and description as well as categories and properties can be translated per language. How does product data get into the online shop? Through the Shopware 6 package, which writes products, categories, prices and VAT rates from Nuxbe into the shop. Other systems read the data through the REST API. Does Nuxbe track stock and serial numbers? Yes. Stock is posted per warehouse, reserved stock is visible, and products with serial numbers are tracked individually.
