You can read it, run it yourself and develop it further, even without us. What does software without vendor lock-in mean? ----------------------------------------------- Software without vendor lock-in keeps running when the vendor changes prices, discontinues the product or you change your service provider. With Nuxbe the open core secures this: it is MIT licensed on GitHub, runs on your own servers and stores your data in a database you can operate yourself. Operations, customisation and support can sit with us, with a partner or with your own team. The code of the core is the same either way. What Does Open Source Mean? --------------------------- Open source at Nuxbe means: the source code of the core, the flux-core package, is public on GitHub under the MIT licence. You may read it, change it, run it on your own servers and pass it on. Not everything is open. Premium packages such as DATEV export, finAPI or the 3CX connection live in private repositories and are provided under a licence. The core runs without them. The core is, under the MIT licence and public on GitHub. Premium packages such as DATEV export, finAPI or the 3CX connection are not public and are licensed. Can I run Nuxbe without the vendor? Yes. The core can be installed from the public repository and run on your own servers. Premium packages require a licence. What happens to my data if I switch? It sits in your database, on your own server when you run it yourself. The REST API also lets you read the data in a structured way. Which licence does the core use? The MIT licence. It allows use, modification and distribution, commercially as well, as long as the licence notice is kept. What is Nuxbe built on? PHP with Laravel and Livewire. Extensions are Composer packages that can be added to your own project just like the core.
